Teach your dog to be happy home alone

Separation anxiety is a heart-breaking condition that causes distress to dogs and their owners. It results in your dog barking, whining and howling, indoor toileting, destructive behaviour resulting in damage to your house and can lead to your dog injuring themselves. If this sounds like your dog then you are in the right place.
We know how hard it can be to not be able to leave your dog at home even if its for a quick trip to the shops.

Our supportive programme can help your dog overcome separation anxiety and you regain your freedom

You love your dog and want the best for them, but they are ruining your life.

You have probably tried everything you can think of and exhausted all options. This can make you feel disappointed that nothing is working and it upsets you that your dog is not happy alone.

I understand how you feel, but it does not have to be this way. You deserve to have freedom and a dog who is happy home alone.

We want to take that stress away from you. We have a tried and tested solution to help with just that.

Why Online Training?

Separation anxiety training actually works better done remotely, as your dog needs to cope with you leaving, not me! Having me there can actually affect our assessment as that would not be a "normal" situation for your dog. I also do not need to see your dog distressed! My aim is to assess what your dog can cope with now from the comfort of their own home.

How the Training works

The aim is to teach your dog to become confident and happy home alone. The most effective way to do this is to use a method called gradual exposure, working in teeny tiny steps to ensure your dog does not exhibit any fear. The training will require commitment from you, and this will certainly pay off when you and your dog have a better quality of life together.

Frequently asked questions

How does the programme work?
The training programme is developed for your dogs individual needs. Firstly I will assess your dog via video link and see what your dog can do without them going over threshold (becoming distressed).

You will then recieve daily exercises in which you will be required to complete, record and send a video to myself so I can give you feedback on your dogs behaviours and body language. This allows me to teach you how to keep your dogs under their anxiety threshold. Regular online check ins with myself allow us to celebrate your wins and focus on your next steps and goals
Im not comfortable with technology, can we meet in person?
Remote training is much more beneficial for treating Separation Anxiety. I am able to assess your dog in a natural setting without me having an influence on their behaviour. If i was visiting your house to assess your dog I would have to leave with you and this could affect how your dog may naturally react. It is you that needs to leave your dog not me!

We can help you every step of the way make you feel more comfortable with technology. We have a range of ways in which we can communicate and we can work a method together that works for you.
How long will it take to treat?
The answer is we do not know! Every dog is their own individual and we must take the training at their pace. Sadly, there is no quick fixes for separation anxiety. However, with consistency and regular training using our tried and tested programmes you are on your way to your dog being happy home alone.

Our 4 and 8 week programmes are desinged to give you the tools and knowledge on how to treat your dogs condition and gives you the ability to be able to continue this method. Please note your dog will not be cured in this time it is very rare for your dog to overcome separation anxiety in 4-8 weeks.
Do I have to suspend absences?
The best way to start treating separation anxiety is to stop leaving your dog for an amount of time they cannot cope with. This might seem a big ask right? But every time your dog exhibits a fear response to being alone, your dog is learning more and more that it is scary. This will then prove harder to treat and progress will be slower. Once you have suspended abscences, the aim is to then train 5 days a week consistently, with our supportive programme. This will involve you working on leaving your dog for a duration we set you. You may think how can I not leave my dog? There are many solutions we have come up with for clients to help with this!
I feel like I have tried every technique, and I do not want to waste any more time and money.
I understand this. I have been there myself with my own dog. I can show you how we overcome this problem just like I have helped treat many other dogs using the best method that is proven to help dogs overcome separation anxiety
How do I know this will work for my dog?
There are no guarantees with behaviour change, but as long as your dog does have separation anxiety and not some underlying medical condition or other behavioural condition, then this method is right for you.
